The case I use is the PELICAN 1650 BLACK CASE I actually ordered mine on eBay for just under $200 with the foam inside.

Ralph, I'd like more details on the modifications Andy performs could you please email me or post in the Inductive Amp thread exactly what Andy did to modify your Probe as I'd like to see if I can modify my own in a similar fashion

Thanks

Hi Paul,
I just want to thank you for sharing the photos of your equipment case. I've always been a fan of Pelican Cases, but didn't know which one would be right for my equipment. After seeing your pictures, I finally pulled the trigger on eBay. I just received my 1650 today (in OD green because that's how I roll, haha) and it's such a great case! Perfect for all of my handheld gear, and I just ordered another to hold my DVR system. You can't beat their warranty either! From what I've found, currently you can get them for around $230 new on eBay.
Since it's been about 6 months now, do you think you can take more pictures of your setup if it has changed lately? It's just really nice to see others ideas to find what works best. When I get completely moved into my cases, I'll post again with pictures. Thanks again, and keep up the great work!
-Craig
Oh, I almost forgot!!! Do you remove the Mel Meters' thermocouple probe during transport and while in the case? Thanks...

Firstly, THANK YOU!

Secondly Yes I do remove the thermal coupler, I actually bought the lid organiser and so I carry them all in there. Its funny you should ask for a new photo as over the next week or so I am actually reorganising it, and Im going to be using the bottom section of the foam to carry even more gear.

I love the pelican case, and I know your gonna be very pelased with yours.

Thanks again

Paul

Awesome... Thanks Paul!
Can't wait to see the pictures, I think I may even hold off on plucking the foam out on mine until I see how your new setup works out. I see what you mean, there MUST be a way to utilize the second layer of pluck and pull foam. I'll definitely submit pictures of mine when it's done also. I'll have to also make sure to leave room for the IR floodlight and strobe that I just ordered from you!
I was thinking that in the second layer of foam, I may store my large supply of extra batteries... I currently carry all of my lithium 9 volts, AA's, etc. in a seperate aluminum case. It would be nicer to keep it all together.
Thanks again, and I'll definitely be frequenting this forum. Everyone around here seems awesome so far, and super smart as well. Keep up the great work, you're a real innovator in the paranormal field... and it's people like you who keep it fresh and moving forward. Talk to you later!
